“Spiritual Game of Life” Nehemiah 2:1-8
This past week our nation had the opportunity to watch the Tampa Buccaneers defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in the Superbowl. Win or lose, what an experience it must have been for those that were playing in that game. Imagine the excitement of being on the field, and the camaraderie that all of the players shared together in that moment. Unfortunately, only a select few have the chance to play in the Superbowl, but all of us must be ready for the game of life! Listen today as Pastor breaks down Nehemiah 2:1-8 and teaches about why it’s important to make sure that we are playing with the right teammate(s), and how there is no glory just standing on the sideline.
“Healthy and Effective Prayer” Nehemiah 1:6
We live in a society today that demands immediate results, no matter what we are doing. If we call someone, we expect a phone call right back. If we send a text message, or any other kind of message, we expect an immediate response. If we want to buy something, we expect it to be readily available to us. We expect to get what we want immediately, and if we don’t, we move on to the next thing we can get immediately. This may be what our attitude has become in society, but it doesn’t make for an effective and healthy prayer life. Listen today as Pastor Bob discusses Nehemiah 1:6-11 and looks at 3 critical elements that should be present in our prayer lives.
Having a healthy prayer life is important for any Christian man or woman, which is why it’s important to understand how we should pray. Listen today as Pastor Bob looks at the prayer of Nehemiah, and more specifically, how he begins his prayer.
“Mourning, Fasting and Praying” Nehemiah 1:4
Very often we read in the Bible about people mourning and fasting when they pray. This is a concept that might be foreign to us in our modern-day society, however, they should still be relevant to us. Listen as Pastor Bob examines Nehemiah 1:4 and discusses why these Biblical concepts should still apply to us today.
“Names Have Meaning!” Nehemiah 1:1-3
The book of Nehemiah is a wonderful book that reveals the glory of God, and teaches us so many life lessons. Listen today as Pastor Bob begins Nehemiah by looking at God’s desire for the nation of Israel, when they found themselves at their lowest point.
Teaching Pastor John examines the perceived conflict between a God who is both just and merciful. How does Scripture reconcile God’s need to be just with his desire to show mercy? The answer, of course, is Jesus. At the end of today’s message Pastor John gives us a recommendation for a New Year’s resolution – a formula for loving others that involves the reflection of God’s justice, mercy and faithfulness in our lives.
25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
“Christmas Eve Service” Matt 1:18-25
Listen as Pastor Bob celebrates the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
