In the secular world today we hear people say things like: “If God is so good why does He allow so much pain and suffering?” Or “If God is real then He is just sitting in His ivory tower watching us like ants for His own enjoyment!”. The problem with these statements and statements like them is that they mischaracterize and misrepresent the God of all creation. What these people don’t understand are the incredible lengths God has gone through to express His love for us, and that everything He does is for our benefit (Even bringing glory to Himself). “Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. 28 Father, glorify your name!”
