When we come to receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior we are given several new things. For instance, we are given a new birth into a new life, making us a new creation with a new purpose! That’s a lot of new things, but God doesn’t stop there. In addition to all of those wonderful “new” things, God has also given us a new family! The Crucifixion of Jesus
25 Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman,[a] here is your son,” 27 and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.
