“The Do’s and Don’ts While Having Dinner with Jesus” John 13:18-30
One of the saddest stories in the Bible (if not the saddest story), has to be concerning the betrayal of Jesus by Judas. In John chapter 13:18-30, Judas had just had his feet washed by Jesus, and he was reclining at the table getting ready to eat the evening meal with Him. To all of the other disciples, Judas appeared to be just like one of them. However, deep in Judas’ heart something terrible was happening. Listen to Pastor Bob today as he discusses this sad story, while he talks about “The Do’s and Don’ts of Having Dinner with Jesus”.
“I Made a Horse: Disappointment with God” Psalm 131
In today’s message Teaching Pastor John tackles the subject of disappointment with God. Why is life unfair? Why does God often seem silent? or hidden from us? Surprisingly, our disappointments – even disappointment with God – seem to be part of God’s plan. The answer to these difficult questions is a powerful testimony to the sovereignty of God and his love for us.
“Are Your Feet Dirty!” John 13:1-17
In John 13:1-17, Jesus did something unthinkable in His Culture. He removed his outer clothes, wrapped a towel around Himself, filled a bowl with water and began to wash the feet of his disciples. This duty was reserved for servants or children, and yet here was the Son of God performing this menial task. Listen today as Pastor Bob discusses this event in detail, and talks about the importance of being washed by Jesus!
