“Praying in the Midst of Chaos” John 17:1-5
As we watch the news and follow the reactions from others on social media, it becomes obvious that our world is a world full of chaos right now. As a result, many of us are glued to the tv, or to the news outlets in the media, or to social media sites where people are arguing their opinions. It is so easy for us as Christians to get caught up in these debates, and to allow the ugliness of what’s going on in our world to fill our own hearts to the point where we begin to take part in it. As we study our text today in the Gospel of John, Jesus is also surrounded by the ugliness of the world, but instead of participating in it, He turns to His Father and prays instead. Listen as Pastor Bob discusses this prayer in depth as we study through the first 5 verses of John 17.

I love this time of year as we move deeper into the spring season. The weather is warming up, the birds are chirping, and new life is in the air, as the plants and trees begin to flower and blossom yielding whatever fruit they have been created to produce. Listen today as Pastor Bob jumps back into John chapter 15, as Jesus exhorts his disciples to bear good fruit in His name.
